Day 26: Wine Tasting & Museo Carmen Thyssen Malaga

Steve wasn't feeling well today, so I went by myself to a wine tasting we had set up. It was in a small town about 30 minutes out of Malaga. The landscape was beautiful from the vineyards.

The owner and winemaker, Antonio, was quite a character. He doesn't always follow traditional methods, but makes fabulous wine.

He also had great tapas to pair with each wine.

We got to taste a wine that was close, but not quite ready to be bottled yet.

In the late afternoon, I walked over to the Carmen Thyssen Museum in Malaga. There were the expected Spanish paintings, but also a big surprise.

Alfred Dehodencq (1851)

Juan Garcia Ramos (1890)

Julio Romero de Torres (1920)

Antonio Munoz Degrain (1905-1910)

The surprise was an American photography exhibit with so many iconic photos.

Garry Winogrand: Warhol, Norman Mailer's 50th Birthday Party

Garry Winogrand: Marilyn Monroe, "Seven Year Itch" Set

Tomorrow we're heading over to Morocco.
