Day 4: Hop-on Hop-off Palma

We decided to do our usual hop-on hop-off bus ride to get an overview of the city. We left our hotel room early to catch the bus.

The stop where we got on was called Windmill. There are four old windmills (16th-19th centuries) right in the city. Pretty amazing.

We drove past this section of Palma (Pueblo Espanol) with beautiful buildings and art inside. We'll see if we get back to it to explore inside.

We hopped off at Castillo de Bellver, a castle for the kings of Mallorca. They started building in 1300.

There were great views of Palma Bay from the castle.

There was a small museum there and as usual, I was drawn to the ceramics.

We can't get enough of Calle Born. It is such a delightful neighborhood.

We hopped off the bus and onto a boat for a bay cruise. It was great to be on the water. The first photo is of a 700 year-old light house.

And guess whose sailing yacht was docked in Palma Harbor--Jeff Bezos.

We ended the day with a great paella meal at a lovely restaurant.

Instead of walking home by the sea, we took a bunch of very narrow streets that were hopping with people. Lots of fun!

A long, but lovely day!
