Day 15: Montjuic

This is our last day in Barcelona. We went up the mountain to Montjuic to return to the Miro foundation, but it was closed due to a holiday tomorrow. Instead we wandered the beautiful parks. The views of the city are stunning.

We wandered into what we thought was a bar and turned out to be the diving venue for the 1992 Olympics. It was very cool to sit in the stands and look out over the city.

We took a funicular down the mountain and then hopped on the metro and were close to our hotel very quickly.

We wandered the streets near our hotel and walked into this free cultural exhibition of giant puppets. We saw these years ago in Valencia. They are an ancient Catalan tradition for holiday parades. They are about twice the height of a human.

Goodbye Barcelona!
